The charity's main activity is making grants out of the income of the trust fund to support charitable organisations. There are no formal restrictions on the charitable activities which can be supported but the charity's main activities currently embrace the prevention and relief of acute poverty, substantially through the medium of education and healthcare especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
