The object of the League of Friends is "To provide and assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations for pupils receiving education at Belstead Special School in Ipswich. Including facilities of which such children have need by reason of their youth, poverty or social and economic circumstances and which will improve the conditions of life."
