The charity dates back to about 1613 when a certain John Comyn was required under a trust annually, and his heirs and assigns after him for ever, to pay ·3 to be distributed among the poor of the Parish of Peldon. ·3 is collected annually from Moor Farm (Mr Martin the present owner) in September which is included with the Harvest Festival gifts of produce which are delivered after the service to t
