Cluny Community Walled Garden

Over the last year we have been growing our volunteer numbers through community engagement consisting of events, social media exposure, printed material to addresses in the locality, meet and greet session at the walled garden, and fundraising initiatives. The organisation has also been piloting traditional heritage skills courses which has been fully subscribed each time and has started our educational pathways within the walled garden. As well as these courses we are also working alongside people with no gardening knowledge and running weekly gardening 'get togethers' where volunteers are learning through practical skills, working alongside time served gardeners. We have also welcomed groups to the garden to support their requirements including. Men In Mind, U3A, NESPT, and the Wee Cider Company. We are working on more partnerships as we move forward. We have also worked towards the project for restoring and conserving the historic fabric of the walled garden.
