About

New Heights SCIO was set up to provide programmes of personal and social development through outdoor education, adventure activities and experiential learning. Its work builds skills, confidence and resilience in individuals facing disadvantage, with a particular focus on supporting people in recovery from addiction to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to their communities. Operating in partnership with Above Adventure in Kilmarnock, the charity runs a structured programme of physical and mental challenges including climbing, canoeing, bushcraft and abseiling. Through these shared experiences, participants develop self-confidence, coping skills and a renewed sense of purpose.
