The Fossoway Gathering Committee

Our principle aim is to strengthen our community by facilitating improved communication, collaboration and information sharing between local organisations and the community at large. We do this chiefly through the organisation of an annual community event known as the Fossoway Gathering, a celebration of, and for, the people, organisations and enterprises of the Fossoway farming and village communities of Blairingone, Carnbo, Crook of Devon, Drum, Powmill and Rumbling Bridge. In addition to being a fun day out for all ages, the Gathering provides a shop-window and major fundraising and recruitment opportunity for local groups. It engages young people through sport and competitions and provides a platform to showcase local music and dance talent across the age spectrum. Social activities during the year raise funds for the Gathering and maintain an equipment resource that is available to support the activities of local groups.
