Shetland Street Pastors [SCIO]

Shetland Street Pastors trains, equips and coordinates teams of volunteers from local churches. These Street Pastors care about the safety and wellbeing of the residents of, and visitors to, Shetland - specifically in relation to the nighttime economy. They are there to be a caring, listening and helpful presence in our streets and in communities across the islands. They do this through regular patrols in and around Lerwick Town Centre on Saturday nights between 10pm and 4am, as well as patrols at one-off events around Shetland when possible. During patrols, Street Pastors are there to chat with the people who are out in the patrol area, as well as providing support and signposting to those needing help.
