About

Igbo Community Aberdeen (ICA) as a registered Scottish charity is created to support the wellbeing, unity, and cultural identity of Igbos living in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. We aim to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where members can connect, grow, and contribute positively to the wider community. We do this by encouraging civic engagement, volunteering, and participation in public life. We support individuals facing poverty, isolation, or health challenges by offering guidance, training, and community-based support. Our cultural events—such as the New Yam Festival and football tournaments—celebrate our heritage while promoting integration. Through educational workshops, youth programmes, and partnerships, we equip our members with skills and confidence to succeed. Equality, diversity, and cultural pride are at the heart of all we do.
