The Portobello Youth Rugby Academy (PYRA) is a Scottish charity set up to promote and develop youth rugby in the Portobello and Eastern Edinburgh community. The charity aims to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play while providing a safe and inclusive environment for the physical, mental, and social development of young players. We do this by coaching members in the rules of rugby, offering strength and nutrition training for a healthy lifestyle, and providing opportunities for young people to play the sport. To support these activities, we raise funds through donations and other means, and the trustees are responsible for the administration and management of the trust property. We also have the power to employ staff and engage consultants to help with our mission
