The Mental Haggis Clan is a charity set up to champion mental health awareness, foster connection, and provide meaningful support to individuals and communities. Our mission is to break the stigma around mental health, encourage open conversations, and offer practical help to those who need it — all with a unique blend of Scottish spirit, humour, and heart. We do this in several ways: Raising Awareness We use creativity, humour, and cultural identity to spark conversations about mental health. Through events, social media, and community campaigns, we highlight the importance of mental wellbeing and remind people that it’s okay not to be okay. The name “Mental Haggis Clan” itself is designed to disarm stigma and invite people in with a smile. Building Community We create spaces — both online and in-person — where people can connect, share their experiences, and feel less alone.
