The aims of the Group shall be to: To protect the Castle structure as far as feasible. To lobby for speedy repair and reopened public access to the castle and surrounds. To assist in any long-term planning for the monument area and assisting grant applications. To lobby for the maximum community benefit derived from the castle up to and including development of the monument as a destination to draw visitors which will support the local economy. To lobby for and development of the monument area as an accessible interpreted nature reserve.
