About

The charity exists to help young people at Dunblane High School take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We support them through every stage of the Award, from initial enrolment through to completion, helping them develop personally through physical activity, skill development, volunteering in their community and multi-day expeditions in the outdoors. We are run entirely by volunteers from the local community, who give their time as expedition supervisors, group leaders, level coordinators and trainers. In 2024/25 over 60 volunteers contributed more than 4,000 hours, with a social value calculated by DofE at over £26,000. We aim to make the Award accessible and rewarding for all young people, and to build connections between participants and their wider community through volunteering placements with local groups, charities and businesses. We also invest in our volunteers, supporting them to gain qualifications in child protection, first aid and
