To contribute to local / national consultations. promote public participation in these by disseminating information. conduct / facilitate research into the benefits and impacts of active travel policy and implementations on all members of the community. provide communities with advice on the compliance of active travel proposals with prevailing safety, equality, environmental and other relevant legislation. engage with local authorities directly, including councillors and planning officers in order to receive and provide information concerning community feedback and issues arising from proposed and deployed active travel schemes. promote transparency and impartiality in community consultation processes. promote the sustainable introduction of active travel schemes in a way that fairly and transparently represents majority community opinion and avoids prioritising any specific group of road users at the expense of all other road users and pedestrians.
