About

Rare-Breed Men Tribe is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SC051792) that exists to connect, support and empower African and Black men and families across Scotland. We address social isolation, poor mental wellbeing, and the absence of culturally rooted spaces for African men living in Scotland. We do this through structured community programmes, including Thrive Together (a wellbeing and peer support programme), Brothers on the Pitch (football and men's health), the Afro-Caribbean Summer Adventure (outdoor activities for families), and FestACC (our Festival of African Culture and Cuisine). Delivery takes place across Edinburgh, West Lothian, Dundee and Glasgow, in person and online. Our approach is grounded in the Ubuntu philosophy, I am because you are, and in co-design with the men and communities we serve. We create safe, non-judgmental spaces where brotherhood, mental health, cultural identity, and personal growth are treated as interconnected, not separate.
