About

Ashfield Football Academy is set up to advance public participation in sport for children & young people up to the age of 24 living in the north of Glasgow, primarily within Glasgow City Council Ward 16. We achieve this by providing organized, inclusive, affordable football opportunities within the local community. The Academy delivers regular training sessions & matches, using appropriate facilities to promote healthy physical activity & positive recreation. Our programs give young people the opportunity to play football in their local area, helping them build confidence, teamwork, & a sense of belonging. We work to remove financial barriers so that all young people, regardless of background, have the chance to participate. We aim to provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can express themselves, develop football skills, & learn important life skills such as discipline, respect, communication, and resilience, which support their personal development & future
