The aim of the charity is to provide opportunities for people to participate in shinty and to protect and grow the sport in the greater Glasgow area. The charity runs men’s and women’s senior teams, and youth teams at three age groups. These teams take part in competitions organised by the Camanachd Association, the governing body of shinty. We offer training and coaching to anyone interested in shinty, whether they play for our teams or not. The charity also maintains links with primary and secondary schools where shinty is offered and with the local university clubs, and offers a summer training camp during the school holidays. The charity has provided use of our playing facilities for university teams and Camanachd Association events not involving our teams directly.
