The Highland Cattle Society SCIO preserves, safeguards and promotes the Highland Cattle Breed. facilitates the advancement of genetic research. promotes cattle welfare and the environmental advantages of the breed and provides cattle breeding and management education. We do this by maintaining the official Herd Book, sponsoring and implementing genetic research and selection, providing expert Field Officers to advise on welfare and management systems and by running a full programme of official shows and sales.
