Umoja wa Maisha Yetu (UMAY) supports people from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, other African communities, and ethnic minority families living in the UK. We work to reduce poverty, isolation, and inequality by providing practical support, advice, and community activities. Our work includes family support, financial skills workshops, wellbeing activities, and community events that help people access services, build confidence, and improve their quality of life. We support families facing hardship with food, travel, and essential needs, and help them connect with local services. Through inclusive activities and cultural awareness, we promote equality, wellbeing, and strong community connections.
