Mwamba

About

Mwamba is a Scottish charity set up to support migrants, refugees, and marginalised communities to overcome isolation, hardship, and systemic barriers. We provide safe spaces and practical support through projects such as Conversation Cafés, community cooking groups, trauma-informed one-to-one sessions, training opportunities, and wellbeing activities. We also collaborate with schools, universities, and partner organisations to build intercultural connections and skills. Alongside direct services, Mwamba advocates for systemic change in areas such as housing, health, and migrant justice, ensuring the voices of our beneficiaries are heard. Our work is driven by volunteers, community leadership, and a vision of resilience through social enterprise, so that people not only access support but also thrive and contribute fully to society.
