Pearl International is set up for the twin purposes of informing and alerting users of electronic equipment of the human cost of the extraction of minerals used in that equipment, and of alleviating the negative effects of that mineral extraction through projects designed to increase access to education and/or the rehabilitation of child soldiers affected by mineral extraction and conflict.
