The Trustees are empowered to retain the whole or part of the residue of the means and estate of the fund for such time a sthey may think fit or permanently, and to apply the whole or such part of the income of the said retained portion (to be called 'The May Mackintosh Charitable Trust') for such charitable purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretion may decide.
