Castlemilk Hall SCIO owns and manages Castlemilk Hall, a historic community hall serving the village of Carmunnock on the southern edge of Glasgow. The Hall provides essential space for a wide range of community activity, including a pre-school nursery, heritage, drama and horticultural societies, youth groups, local meetings and annual community events. Approximately 1,350 individual people use the Hall each year, generating around 8,500 visits. The charity is managed by a board of trustees who meet monthly and cover areas such as. finance, health & safety, grants, nursery liaison, management of lets, fundraising and projects. Grants are developed and submitted by the grants sub-committee for capital projects and the fundraising sub-committee raise funds by holding social events throughout the year. The main income from the charity comes from the nursery let.
