Scottish Women's Budget Group

About

SWBG that aims to promote gender analysis in public policy and finance decisions through budgetary processes. SWBG brings together a wide range of women from across Scotland who have an interest in women’s equality and want to achieve better gender equality in our society. We do this by:  Supporting capacity building and awareness raising within Local Authorities through tailored training and support on gender budgeting.   Advocating for the use of gender budgeting at the national level.  Gathering evidence and publishing research to influence government’s policies and investment.  Working with other women’s groups. Some of these groups include Glasgow Disability Alliance, Making Rights Real and Fa’side Women and Girls, Amina (Muslim Women’s Resource Centre), MECOPP and the Young Women’s Movement.
