SISCO

About

SISCO was established to support people trapped in the cycle of addiction and imprisonment by creating safe, recovery focused spaces inside Scottish prisons. Its model was designed to offer multiple pathways to recovery and address trauma, complex needs, and emotional wellbeing before release. Now a registered Scottish charity, its purposes include relieving those affected by prison and addiction, advancing health and education, reducing poverty, and supporting reintegration into the community OSCR. SISCO operates through peer led recovery cafés, trauma responsive support, lived experience mentoring, and ongoing community support after release, helping people stabilise, rebuild, and reconnect.
