The organisation's purposes are to promote, develop and maintain classical studies, and to increase public awareness of the contribution and importance of classics to education, culture and public life, in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland. We do this by organising lectures and other educational and cultural events and activities, designed to interest and engage a range of age-groups and sections of the community, and by cooperating with other organisations which share its purposes in whole or in part, including the Classical Association of Scotland, with which we are affiliated.
