The Work Room is artist-led organisation committed to supporting a sustainable environment for independent dance artists in Scotland. We are an incubator for ideas to be researched, developed, tested & produced that go on to engage the public, through participatory projects & performances at festivals, theatres, public spaces and community venues across the country. Our distinctive approach is shaped by 260 artist members, living & working across the country. Artists who are catalysts - activating, challenging and transforming imaginations and communities through dance. Our membership model feeds a strong culture of grassroots leadership for dance.
