Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid (ABWA) provides vital support to women, children, and young people across the mainland of Argyll and Bute and its 23 inhabited islands who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse, coercive control, and gender-based violence. ABWA offers a range of services including refuge accommodation, outreach support, phone support, therapeutic sessions, and group work. These services are designed to reduce risk, enhance awareness, empower individuals to make informed decisions, and provide them with the opportunity to lead lives free from abuse. Through strong multi-agency partnerships and training sessions, ABWA works collaboratively to share knowledge, raise awareness, and address the complexities of domestic abuse and coercive control, furthering our mission to create safer communities
