Anam Cara Fasgadh is a Scottish charity providing respite accommodation & support to families grieving the death of a baby, child or young person. Founded in 2018, its mission is to offer a safe space for healing & reflection. The charity offers bereavement breaks, emotional support, & connections to other services, helping families process their grief. Poppy’s Place at Tralee Bay provides a peaceful retreat, at no cost to families, allowing them to step away from daily pressures and focus on healing. Memorial initiatives include engraved butterfly displays and butterfly release events, symbolizing remembrance and love. The charity relies on community fundraising and has launched the Cùram Cala Retreat Campaign to expand support. With no government funding, it thrives through donations and volunteer efforts. Anam Cara Fasgadh ensures no bereaved family grieves alone, offering comfort, connection, and hope.
