About

CGX is an environmental, inclusion and employability charitable social enterprise aiming to grow flourishing community by engaging volunteers in helping people with disadvantages into sustainable employment by working together on environmental projects of benefit to the wider community. We operate three inclusive workshops - CGX Cycle Works, Restoration Works and Appliance Works - in which people of diverse capabilities can participate in the repair, refurbishment and recycling of donated goods. The paid staff and skilled volunteers supervise job seeking trainees and other volunteers needing additional support in how to process the goods for resale at affordable prices in our High Street charity retail shop: Cycle Works and Refurnish. Our regular staff enable volunteers and trainees of any ability to safely participate in any of our activity areas according to their ininterests and personal development plan, including logistics, the workshops, retail and administration.
