The Uig Development Trust is set up to manage community land and associated assets for the benefit of the community and the public in general, following the principles of sustainable development. The Trust also provides, or assists in providing, recreational facilities which will be available to the public at large. The Trust has a governing board, consisting of seven trustees, and an employed development officer
