About

CWS exists to protect life at sea and along the coastline by operating lookout stations and supporting emergency services. It trains skilled volunteers, provides first aid facilities and instruction, promotes water safety education, monitors weather and VHF Channel 16, and assists with coastal events and youth awards. CWS also supports other charities, offers safety information to mariners and beach users, and manages its property and resources to further these aims.
