Inverclyde Women’s Aid supports women, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse, sexual abuse and rape across Inverclyde. Our aim is to provide safe, confidential and specialist support to survivors while working to end violence and oppression against women and girls. Inverclyde Women's Aid takes a feminist approach, recognising the link between domestic abuse and gender inequality, and promotes women and children's equality and rights. We do this by offering a range of services, including a confidential helpline, one-to-one outreach support, safety planning, advocacy and help with housing and legal issues. Inverclyde Women’s Aid also provides refuge and housing support, counselling and therapeutic services, and dedicated support for children and young people affected by abuse. Alongside direct support, it works with partner agencies, raises awareness in the community and campaigns for social change to prevent abuse.
