The charity's objectives are: - The advancement of citizenship including the rights and responsibilities of the citizen, through the development of opportunities for people to be more active in their communities, involving people in community activity including volunteering. - The promotion of equality and diversity including the elimination of discrimination. - The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage, contributing to the prevention or relief of poverty through information and advocacy. - The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of the recreational activities with the purpose of improving the life conditions for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
