The charity was set up based on our experience of having a child with a cancer diagnosis and wanting to make every day during treatment as good as possible. The charity supports families financially where a child has a cancer diagnosis and is receiving treatment by providing gifts, opportunities for days out and funding towards short breaks. We do this by providing gift vouchers for days out which are available on the cancer wards at the three main hospitals we support, these can be accessed by a family instantaneously. We receive applications for the gifts and funding towards short breaks from medical staff or social work. We also provide gifts to the wards including toys, books and crafts which helps those less able to leave the ward.
