AMUK is established to promote a thoughtful and reasoned understanding of Islam, drawing on the scholarly tradition of Imam Hamid al-Din Farahi, Amin Ahsan Islahi, and Javed Ahmad Ghamidi. The focus is on their methodology of study and interpretation rather than on fixed viewpoints. The charity pursues this mission through peaceful and constructive means, including education, research, public learning, and open dialogue. In addition, AMUK works to encourage harmony and mutual respect both among different faith communities and within the Muslim community itself. The charity also seeks to raise awareness of human rights, with particular emphasis on the rights of women and children, through educational initiatives. Alongside this, AMUK supports humanitarian causes in the UK and abroad by offering financial assistance and professional support where possible.
