Friendly Access (SCIO)

About

Friendly Access is a Scottish charity which works to improve accessibility, inclusion and participation for disabled individuals and people with additional support needs. We aim to reduce barriers, social isolation and exclusion through sport, education, accessibility awareness, policy engagement and community-based projects. We deliver adaptive and inclusive activities including SurfABLE Scotland, Scotland’s first adaptive surf programme, and SwimABLE Scotland, which provides structured inclusive swimming opportunities for children and young people with additional support needs. Our work focuses on creating supportive, person-centred environments where individuals can participate in ways that suit their strengths and needs.
