About

The aim of the BDRG as a charity is for the prevention or relief of poverty within our community through community learning opportunities, through workshops. training and social engagement. We also plan and deliver recreational facilities and activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents whom the charity is primarily intended. We do this through the delivery of a youth programme which includes 2 youth clubs, 2 youth award groups and 3 music groups. We let the venue out to statutory and 3rd sector groups who support members of our community through creativity and employability. We also let the venue out to individuals for family gatherings. The Scout Hut is used free of charge by local community groups f.o.c. for the purpose of community engagement and development e.g. the Gala, Citizens Advice.
