The purpose is as set out above in respect of what is set forth in the Scottish Charity Register. We have two meeting a year to educate our members and guests. The indoor meeting is our annual Lunch and AGM at which we have a speaker who gives us a talk on some aspect of the life of Captain BarclayAllardice. The outdoor meeting is an annual group Walk at which we commemorate the pedestrianism feats of Captain Barclay Allardice in particular his greatest feat of walking 1,000 miles in 1,000 consecutive hours for a wager of 1,000 guineas during 42 consecutive days in 1809. .
