The purpose of the charity is to provide a safe environment and to encourage and promote the development of sport, both physical and exertion for the wellbeing of the inhabitants of Westhill and the surrounding area, for the health benefits that it can provide. The activities also provide opportunities for public participation for a wide range of participants. The provision of recreational facilities at Lawsondale are available to male and female members of the community, as per the Recreational Charities Act 1958.
