We are funded to provide the Small Repairs and Home Support Service together with Dementia Friendly Design. Our main aim is to keep people safe, secure and living independently in their own homes for as long as possible. We will supply and install key safes and grab rails. We'll hang curtais and put up curtain rails/poles as well as shelves. We will undertake small plumbing jobs such as a dripping tap. We will install interlinked heat and smoke alarms to meet Scottish Government Legislation and also supply CO alarms. We will undertake those jobs that tradespeople will not do i.e. because they are too small. We travel the length and breadth of the Dumfries and Galloway region in our bright green vans. We will never turn up unannounced at a client's home and an appointment is always made so the client knows who is coming and when. Our service is free to our clients who meet our criteria.
