Siblings Reunited (STAR) (SCIO)
✓ Registered charity · SC043937About
Established in 2013, Siblings Reunited (STAR) is a pioneering charity dedicated to reuniting brothers and sisters separated by the care system, kinship care or adoption. Separation can deepen trauma for children already facing loss and instability. STAR provides a safe, nurturing countryside setting where siblings can reconnect, build relationships and create positive shared memories. During their time at STAR the children will eat lunch together and can bake cakes/treats for them and/or the animals along with activities such as forest exploration, beach visits, sports, gardening, arts and crafts and games. Time with our animals – including ponies, goats, rabbits guinea pigs and chickens is a special highlight. We prioritise children’s voices, tailoring sessions to their needs and involving them in planning their experiences. By fostering belonging, continuity and connection, STAR helps children strengthen sibling bonds, build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing.
