The Foundation's objective is to deliver initiatives that will commemorate the work of Adam Smith, locally, nationally and on an international scale while raising awareness of the role that Kirkcaldy played in his life. The Foundation aims to deliver these initiatives through the recognition, promotion and study of the life of Adam Smith, to advance in Scotland and elsewhere, community development, citizenship, education, arts, heritage, culture, science, public participation in sport and the prevention or relief of poverty. Our goal is to seek and advance the prevention of poverty through projects that will increase employability for young people and act as a catalyst for regeneration.
