Between 2011 and 2022, the Friends had responsibility for managing the ‘Ministry of Welcome’ that operated daily from 1st May to 30th September to welcome the many visitors to the Church of the Holy Rude from all over the world who visited each year, to provide them with information about the historic church building. After Covid, due to lack of volunteers and to provide tourists with a more professional experience, the church decided to enter into partnership with Stirling District Tourism Ltd. (SDT), a local charity to promote tourism in Stirling. The Friends continue to provide volunteers to support the staff of SDT and to enhance the experience of tourists. All income generated is entirely spent for the benefit of the Church of the Holy Rude, Stirling
