Providing opportunities for the development and education of young people (aged 15 to 25yrs) from Shetland and elsewhere, inspiring positive change through the adventure, challenge, and experience, of Sail Training, both through offering local taster day sails on our local vessel 'Swan' and on larger Tall Ships, such as those participating in large international events like The Tall Ships Races. Assisting in the provision of facilities and opportunities for outdoor education and recreation activities to young people in the interests of their social welfare, with the main object of developing their physical and mental capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. For most of the young people that participate in the opportunities that we provide, sail training on Tall Ships is a positive, life-changing experience.
