St Mirren Youth Football Club were set up to help deliver & support the physical activity of young people, using football as the vehicle to drive & improve the health & wellbeing of over 250 young grassroots football players, from across Renfrewshire’s least advantaged, left behind, most deprived areas & beyond. The Club are a Scottish FA Quality Mark Partner Club and have been a Scottish Registered Charity for almost a decade. The Club deliver 26 evening coaching sessions and 19 weekend activities, on average per week to thirteen mixed sex, age-groups. The Club are working in partnership with Inchinnan Community Council and Inchinnan Development Trust to redevelop an historic greenspace, which has a heritage of almost a century as a manufacturing workforce’s playing fields, where a multitude of sports once thrived. The Youth football Club aims to encourage participation in and enjoyment ofScotland’s national sport - football.
