Cranhill Area Association was established to support and improve the quality of life for residents of the Cranhill area by addressing social, economic and community needs in a charitable manner. The Association exists to promote and support activities that benefit residents both now and in the future. A key reason for its formation is to contribute to housing-related services, community development and regeneration projects for individuals and families in the local area who may be disadvantaged, with the aim of improving living conditions and wellbeing. The Association also promotes education, encourages equal opportunities and supports the development of initiatives that respond to community needs. It encourages the voluntary participation of residents in the development and management of housing and local initiatives, and works in partnership with statutory bodies, voluntary organisations and other agencies to support regeneration and help alleviate poverty and disadvantage.
