The purposes of the charity are for the advancement of education, the advancement of religion, and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. This is achieved through regular church services, ongoing pastoral care, and the running of various programs for the community such as a youth group and peer-support group.
