About

MCMA is the charity that operated Black DiamondFM. the community radio station based in Midlothian with a coverage of the majority of the county and also South Edinburgh. Volunteers from all walks of life are welcomed and encouraged to be a part of the station, learning the various skills required to ensure our profile is raised all over the County, not only broadcasting on air but out and about with our outdoor events. We help to build self confidence in our volunteers, giving them skills they can take outwith their volunteering role. We hold regular member meetings to give everyone a chance to get together and share experiences, ask questions etc. New members are shadowed by current members to ensure they learn the skills required to not only learn the various tasks we carry out, but also to ensure the rules and regulations set by governing bodies, such as Ofcom, are followed.
