NHS Forth Valley Endowment Funds

About

The Charity's main objective is 'the advancement of health' including the prevention or relief of sickness, disease or human suffering within Forth Valley. Endowments Funds may not however be utilised to substitute for a core provision within the NHS Board's financial plans. Nor should endowment funds be used to cover a responsibility of the NHS Board that is a direct requirement of health and safety or employment law or ministerial policy direction. An employee of the Board or the Trustees may only benefit from the charity, where such expenditure is incidental to (and necessary for) that public benefit to be realised. The Charity furthers its charitable objective through the provision of patient welfare & amenities, the purchase of equipment and services, the development of medical research, the support of staff educational opportunities and a number of other social investments. The Charity also provides grants to other non-profit organisations in furtherance of the objectives.
