To support the Burns Unit in Blantyre, Malawi and thereby assist the staff and patients of that unit to improve the care delivered to people with burns. In addition, to support reconstructive surgery undertaken in that Burns Unit and to support the training and personal development of medical and surgical staff, nursing staff, physiotherapy staff and ancillary staff involved with Burns care and Reconstructive surgery in Blantyre and in Malawi more widely. The predominant path of support is direct financial aid to the Burns Unit for clearly specified beneficial areas and the lesser, but very significant path of support is in organisation, support and delivery of Burns Unit staff training.
